Hi, my name is Ai. I am a Japanese industrial designer and architectural designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I named this blog site DESIGN & AI, because I’m going to write about my passion for ‘DESIGN’ and myself ‘I’ (AI), not too much about me but the lifestyle I enjoy living in.

 

I started my industrial design career in Denmark, where I married to my Danish husband. I love about the minimal, functional, and hyggeligt part of the Scandinavian design and lifestyle. I took that lifestyle with me to the sunny California, where we enjoy gardening and cooking with home grown veggies. I love to travel and play with our sweet Shiba Inu girl, Uni.

 

Although I’m heavily involved in the tech business, I would like to avoid writing about latest gadgets and features. My focus will be primarily on design from the past and present, and most importantly, how they get integrated into a lifestyle.
